Summary:
The District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility currently offers the Residential Energy Efficiency Program. The program provides financial incentives to District residents who install energy- efficient equipment in their homes. Qualifying items include refrigerators, clothes washers, boilers, water heaters, and furnaces. Appliances and lighting equipment must be at least ENERGY STAR rated.
The DCSEU also provides discounts for ENERGY STAR CFL and LED lighting through participating retailers. The DCSEU’s website includes a link to participating retailers and information about qualifying lighting. 
 
The DCSEU also provides additional incentives to homeowers who are making more significant investments in insulation, sealing, and HVAC improvements among others through its Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program.
