There isn\\\'t much else to add. I think that all the reviews with the exception of one (who I am sure is a friend or relative) speak volumes of what a shody bunch of crooks these people at Proficient are. In July, they installed (badly) a 16 ceer Rheem A/C which never worked properly from day one. The temperature was constantly climbing into the mid 80\\\'s..and I am talking about the absolute hottest time of the summer. The first so called tech to take a look at the mess they installed said it was fine and was a great installation. I guess its because he didn\\\'t have to live in my house. Wound up calling a second time because the situation did not improve and they said they would send someone around 5pm. Well, 5 came and went and no one showed up at all. I had no choice but to call another company Crossman A/C. Scott Crossman the owner told me it was a disaster. The installation was horrible. Scott did the repair himself but it cost me and additional $517 dollars. When I told this to Pat Ruggiero the owner he agreed to reimburse me for part of the repair ($357)then he lied about cutting a check and said there must have been some oversight and that he would send someone to my house with the check. That never happened either. This man is not only a liar but a thief. Stay away from Proficient Air because believe me they are really not proficient at all. If Ruggiero needs the money that badly then I will have to say what my mom always said...\\\"may he spend it on medicines\\\"

This lady tried to send me fake invoices from another ac contractor because I told her if we did something wrong then i would refund her money. When I caught her on it she came up with all kinds of different stories the times on the invoices did not match what she was trying to scam. The company she called was a relative of hers and when i caught them he bowed out and left her by herself. I am a very reasonable person and if my company owed her any money we would have paid her. But to try and scam me with fake invoices is not right.

By far the worst experience i have ever had to go through. We spent $8000 for a brand new unit that after a year stops working in the heat of the day. After scheduling an appt they showed up 2 hours late, by which time the unit had started working. For the next 3 weeks everyday the unit stops working in the heat of the day. After several attempts of trying to get someone out here. We were told, "we're not gonna deal with you, call someone else" We have paid money to have them out, and they have left the job unfinished, (including closing the permits). Use someone else. The headache (and summer heat) is NOT worth it.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I bought a brand new unit from them (over $3500) and when it failed two years later (5 year warranty), they didn\'t even want to come out and deal with it. I heard \"well, I guess I made a mistake on the warrnty, it was only for 30 days\"... $350 later AND 7 service calls later I realized that they could not fix a simple thing like a burnt out fan motor. Their srevice department was legendary in horrible service - it took them, seven (7) service calls to fix the burnt out motor. 3 of the calls resulted in me simply waiting by the phone all day with no call back (\"sorry, we got busy...\"). I wasted a day of vacation for nothing (\"busy\") and my wife lost a half of a day at work - Any call that was eventually answered was at least 2 hours late. STAY AWAY from these guy\'s \'cause once they got your money, they DON\'T CARE. I don\'t even want to go into the incompetence of their service calls. PLEASE email me if you want more information because I don\'t know what to do at this point except warn the general public.

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT THEY CAME OUT ON A SUNDAY NIGHT AT ABOUT 11PM AND FIXED MY AIR CONDITIONER IN LESS THAN ONE HOUR AND THE CHARGE WAS LESS THAN $200.00
