How Do I Remove AC Clutch And Pulley From Compressor?

My AC starting to produce warm air in my 2004 Lincoln Town Car. The system could not be checked because of sparks of fire coming from the ac compressor. I ordered a new AC compressor. Instead of replacing the whole unit is it possible to remove the clutch and pulley of of old unit and swap it off the new unit. If so, how does this pulley come off?

Wow! That's a tough one. We recommend that you check with the compressor manufacturer or contact your local automobile repair shop for assistance.

Special clutch pullers are available, you must be sure of the make of compressor before spending money on the wrong puller. If you DIY, be sure you get a manual for Automotive Air Conditioning, it's a whole world in itself. I would replace the clutch first before replacing whole compressor. Sounds like clutch failure.
