I installed a 3-in-1 hard start to a GE fridge and removed the run capacitor along with the start relay and guardette. The fridge starts fine but it cycles off about every minute. Is this because I removed the run capacitor on the fridge?

The function of a run capacitor is to cycle the unit at the correct intervals. In general terms this is necessary to insure the unit functions properly. To be sure, call your local appliance repair center for verification about your particular model.
