I'm Replacing My Central AC, I Live Near The Ocean. Is It Better To Have Aluminum Or Copper Coils Outside?

I've gotten three quotes, two say aluminum, one says copper. Which is better near the ocean?

If you live near the ocean, we would recommend getting a "Coastal" unit for your home. These units feature a special coating to protect the coils from salt spray from the ocean.

Watch it with copper, there have been many thefts of copper, thieves will steal whole unit. In my area people are putting cages around the condensor. Aluminum is very efficient at giving off heat.
