Question

I am in the market for a new air conditional / heat pump because I am being told that my fan compacitor and motor needed to be replaced. So, now I have an airconditioner / heat pump that could lose its original compressor at any time. My contractor is offering Coleman as a replacement unit but I don't know anything about this product.

A bad capacitor and fan motor do not mean that it's time for the unit to be replaced. These are easily replaced parts. However do take notice of the age oftofthe unit and the previous care of the unit. Also a second opinion is always an option.
